Job Description:
As a 2D Game Artist (Unity + Animation) at Good Games, you will:
Bridge the gap between art and engineering, ensuring seamless integration of 2D assets and animations into our Unity-based casual puzzle games.
Implement and optimize overall art direction while ensuring smooth, efficient performance across mobile platforms.
Develop, refine, and optimize in-game UI transitions, animations, and visual effects using Unity and other tools such as Spine to create fluid and polished experiences.
Collaborate closely with artists, designers, and developers to deliver a harmonious balance between visual quality and technical constraints.
Create intuitive and visually cohesive UI flows that enhance the gameplay experience, ensuring that the artistic vision is realized within the game’s technical framework.
Provide technical solutions and work with shaders, optimization techniques, and tools to maintain high visual fidelity while ensuring efficient performance.
Help build and maintain asset pipelines and workflows to ensure a smooth and optimized development process.
Use problem-solving skills to tackle any technical challenges that arise, ensuring art assets are implemented and displayed correctly within the game.
Support various aspects of game development by leveraging technical and artistic expertise.
Candidate Profile
Creative, highly ambitious, and results-oriented individual, eager to become a top performer in the gaming industry.
2+ years of experience in the mobile game industry as a Technical Artist, with a focus on 2D and UI.
Deep knowledge of Unity, Spine, Dotwin, including experience integrating 2D art assets, creating UI transitions and animations
Proficiency with shaders, optimization techniques, and performance profiling for mobile platforms.
Strong understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) principles as they relate to game development.
Proficiency in tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects for 2D art and animation creation.
Experience with version control systems, like Git, and asset management within Unity.
Familiarity with scripting languages like C# to assist in the technical implementation of art assets.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and deliver high-quality results on time.
A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, effectively communicating with artists, designers, and developers to achieve the best possible results.
Passion for casual mobile games and a desire to push the boundaries of technical artistry in this space.
