Senior Creative Developer

At Antinomy Studio we're looking for a Senior Creative Developer to join our Amsterdam office and create beautiful digital experiences together.

Working together

We’re offering a full-time job in a small and passionate award-winning team of designers, developers and creatives. You will be working and collaborating closely with the founding partners and the team to deliver high-end interactive experiences for our clients’ websites and e-commerce solutions, with a deep focus on interactions, animations and performance. You will be involved in projects of all kinds of scale, small to medium, but also bigger productions for renowned brands, both internally and externally.

About you

• 6+ years experience and currently working with the latest front-end technologies

• Experience in technology at leading digital agencies or comparable organisations

• An outstanding eye for design, motion and aesthetics

• Confident and competent creating single page applications from scratch

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React and Vue.js

• Understanding of JavaScript design patterns

• Experience communicating with back-end services asynchronously via RESTful APIs

• Solid understanding of cross-browser or platform issues and code solutions

• Understanding of performance issues or solutions, working with performance profiling and tools such as PageSpeed Insights or Lighthouse

• Experience of version control using GIT and package managers such as npm

• Experience with 2D graphics in the browser with the Canvas API

• Experience with WebGL and working with 3D in the browser

• Great experience in collaborating with developers, designers, contributors and clients

• Detail-oriented in all aspects of your work

• Based in Amsterdam, or willing to relocate (no visa-sponsorship offered)

• Fluent in English

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for the quality and continuous improvement of our front-end coding methodology, frameworks and internal tooling

• Collaborating with the management team on estimating new project scopes

• Ensuring the designs are pixel-perfectly executed, in collaboration with the design team

• Work closely with the development team to ensure design integrity during the development phase

• Develops and mentor junior team members, inspiring a sense of support and direction

• Participate in client meetings, presenting design concepts and gathering feedback
